B. County Road 6 to H1 hhwway 12 - Tho proposed changes to <br />the p an in this area inclu�e: <br />1. All right-of-way taking will occur on the west <br />side. <br />2. Work to resolve the drainage problem outlined in <br />Attachment F. <br />In addition to that, the City had noted in its April 13, <br />1989 letter that the City desired an agreement prohibiting the <br />extension south of Highway 12 unless the Orono Council agreed. <br />It would be appropriate that this be adopted as part of any <br />resolution related to plan approval. <br />If the project was done with city or City/MSA funds it would <br />cost the City about $310,000. It is anticipated that the City's <br />cost for County Road 116 will be approximately $65,00 <br />A comparison of road widths is contained in attachment H. <br />The actual travelled portion will be the same, but the shoulders <br />will be paved at a width 4' more on each side than at present. <br />ALTERNATIVES - <br />1. Hold a public hearing. <br />2. Adopt Resolution which agrees to the plan with <br />appropriate changes. <br />3. Amend the plan and adopt it for further changes. <br />4. Table for further discussion related to issues raised <br />and unresolved at the public hearing. <br />5. Choose not to adopt the plan. <br />6. Withdraw from further consideration of the plan. <br />RECOMMENDATION - <br />It is recommended that the plan be adopted with changes <br />already proposed, together with those appropriate changes based <br />on input of the public. <br />PROPOSED MOTION - <br />- Moved by seconded by . the Orono Council <br />approves the plans as amended and incorporates that approval in <br />Resolution i , which also incorporates the requirement for <br />an agreement not to have County Road 116 extended south of <br />Highway 12.
