#1464
HARDSHIP - The stated intent of the hardcover ordinance is to
filter rainfall runoff through grass. The or000sed addition
is between the house and garage - further away from the lake
than the existing house. Therefore, the runoff will still
have to travel through significant distance through grass to
reach the lake and should be adequately filtered. Simply
stated the hardship is that the letter of the law
inadvertently covers us but not it's spirit.
DESCRIPTION OF UNUSUAL PROPERTY CONDITIONS - the fact that
the property is pie shaped with the large end of the oie on
the lake side prevents anv part of a large percentge of our
land (within. 75 ft. of lake) to be built on at all due to the
hardcover ordinance. This leaves only a small percentage of
our total land to be built on. Also, the lagoon was dredged
on our property which reduced not just the amount of land we
own, but also the amount subject to the 75 ft. no build
increased.
