Applicant is the contract -for -deed owner of Lots 4 and 5, <br />Block 1, Hillside Park, also known as 324 and 332 Westlake <br />Street respectively. There is a cabin at 324 Westlake <br />Street which contains no plumbing but does have <br />electricity, and is currently used as a guest house for the <br />principal residence structure at 332 Westlake Street, <br />although the two lots are separate for tax purposes. <br />Applicant notes that he would have to refinance the two <br />properties in order to combine them for tax purposes. <br />2. Applicant is proposing to construct a second story on the <br />h01:3e on Lot 5. Additionally, he would be constructing a <br />Firch at the southwest corner of that structure in line with <br />the existing walls of the house. <br />3. The existing house is 13' from the south side lot line where <br />a 30' side setback is normally required. Additionally, the <br />existing house is about 8' from the north lot line. If both <br />properties are taken into account, the north side setback is <br />about 58'. <br />
