� :.. � <br /> � RESOLUTION N0. 1049 <br /> RESOLU^1ION REGARDING ALLOCATIOTJ OF SEWER <br /> CAPACITY OF THE PROPOSED MEDIPJA-ORONO <br /> SEWER PIPE <br /> WHEREAS, The City of Medina has present pollution <br /> problems existing with on-site septic systems in that area <br /> of the City of AZedina known as the Medina-Morningside <br /> District, and therefore the City of Medina desires to con- <br /> nect the tdedina-Morningside District to the City of Orono � <br /> trunk sewer system, and <br /> . \ <br /> WH�REAS, The City of Orono expressed a prior willingness <br /> to �assist the City of Medina in solving its existing pollution <br /> problem, and <br /> WHEREAS, The City of Orono will construct and/or has <br /> constructed and owns and operates various trunk and lateral <br /> sanitary sewer lin�s which service various land use areas in __ <br /> the City of Orono, and those sewer lines are needed to serve <br /> present and proposed development in the City of Orono, and <br /> tiVHEREAS, the City of Medina needs to utilize a portion <br /> , of the capacity of those sewer lines to solve its existing <br /> • pollution problems , and <br /> WHEREAS, based upon the prior request by the City of <br /> Medina, the City of Orono had tentatively agreed with the <br /> City of Medina to allow for an allocation of capacity in the <br /> proposed new pipe and its use of the Orono sewer line, all as <br /> set forth in the preliminary engineering report done for the <br /> City of Medina, Minnesota, Medina-Morningside area, dated <br /> October, 1978, by McCombs-Knutson Associates, Inc. , and <br /> WHEREAS, based upon the tentative agreement, the City <br /> of Orono has finalized further its sewer capacity needs based <br /> upon its land use plans and desires of the property owners in <br /> � the City of Orono included in the present sewer-benefited area, <br /> NO�V, THEREFORE, BE I^1 RESOLVED AS FOLLOWS: <br /> l. That the City of Orono reaffirms its prior repre- ' <br /> sentation to the City of Medina that it is willing to assist <br /> the City of I�iedina in solving its present pollution problem <br /> existing with on-site septic systems in the area of the City <br /> of Medina known as the Medina-Morningside District.. <br /> i � <br />
