Minutes <br />City Council Regular Meeting <br />Monday, July 14, 2025, 6:00 PM <br />City Council Chambers 2780 Kelley Parkway, Orono, MN 55356 <br />Mayor Tunheim called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m., followed by the Pledge of Allegiance. <br />ROLL CALL <br />Orono City Council members present: Mayor Bob Tunheim, City Council Members Alisa Benson and <br />Jacqueline Ricks. Members absent: Steve Persian and Jon Schwingler. <br />Staff present were City Attorney Soren Mattick, City Administrator/Engineer Adam Edwards, Finance <br />Director Maggie Jin, Police Chief Correy Farniok, City Planner Matthew Karney, City Clerk Christine <br />Lusian, Communication Specialist Rachel Cotter, and Community Development Director Laura Oakden. <br />PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE <br />APPROVAL OF AGENDA <br />The agenda was approved by consensus. <br />CONSENT AGENDA <br />1. VOTE: Ayes 3, <br />Nays 0. <br />PRESENTATIONS <br />14. Canine Introduction and Badge Ceremony <br />Police Chief Coffey Farniok introduced the Orono PD's newest K-9 officer, Onyx, and his <br />handler, Officer Brayden Sherman. Mayor Tunheim administered the oath of Office and <br />presented his badge. <br />15.
