CITY OF ORONO <br />RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL <br />NO.7599 <br />A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING A DONATION <br />WHEREAS, the city of Orono is authorized by Minn. Stat. 465.03 to accept donations of real <br />and personal property for the benefit of its citizens and is specifically authorized to accept gifts; <br />WHEREAS, Judy Anderson has offered to donate $400.00 to city of Orono for the purchase of a <br />tree to be planted at Big Island Park; and <br />WHEREAS, the donation is for the benefit of its residents; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council finds that it is appropriate to accept the donation. <br />RESOLVED that the Orono City Council gratefully accepts the donation to be used by the city of <br />Orono. <br />FURTHER, staff will acknowledge receipt of the donation expressing appreciation. <br />Adopted by the City Council of Orono, Minnesota at a regular meeting held April 28, 2025. <br />ATTEST: <br />CITY OF ORONO <br />Christine Lusian, City Clerk Bob Tunheim, Mayor <br />29 <br />
