� . <br /> RESOLUTION # 1003 � , <br /> � <br /> A RESOLUTION REQUESTING 1978-79 LOCAL PLANNING ASSISTANCE • <br /> GRANT FUNDS FROM THE METROPOLITAN COUNCIL � <br /> � . <br /> ' WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Land Planning Act, Minnesota <br /> Statutes, Section 473.851-473.872, require that, the City of � <br /> Orono prepare and submit a comprehensive plan to the Metropolitan <br /> Council; and � <br /> WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Council and the City of Orono <br /> entered into a contract, numbered 7845 and dated March 3, 1978 <br /> . <br /> for a Local Planning Assistance Grant for 1976-77 grant funds <br /> i.'n the amount of $2,874 to assist the City of Orono in carrying <br /> out the required planning; and � �� <br /> WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Council has allocated $2, 519 <br /> ' to the City of Orono in add'itional grant funds for 1978-79; and <br /> WHEREAS, the total grants from the Metropolitan . <br /> Council will not exceed 75/ of the total cost or 100/ of the <br /> � remaining cost of carrying out the required planning which is <br /> • documented in Appendix A of the above-referenced contract. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the City of Orono <br /> requests the additional 1978-79 grant funds and authorizes the � . <br /> Mayor to execute the Agreement Amendment to the above-referenced <br /> � contract on behalf of the City of Orono. <br /> Adopted by the Orono Council this 27th day of February, <br /> 1979. <br /> � , . <br /> � William B.
