Tree Inventory Analysis and Maintenance Strategy <br /> The City Council is requested to review the Staff report and receive a presentation about the recently <br /> completed inventory analysis of the trees on City property and right-of-way. <br /> The Council discussed the item and asked questions of staff.No action was required at this time. <br /> 8. Update—Park and Facilities Department <br /> The City Council received an update from Parks Superintendent Joe Ruthenberg on parks and facilities. <br /> Spring activities have been completed, and City crews are now working on summer projects. He has <br /> applied for some grants. He reported on the City's efforts on natural,pollinator, and Monarch butterfly <br /> gardens and the beginning of the planning process for Hackberry Park. <br /> The Council discussed the item and asked questions of staff. <br /> 9. Update—Park Commission <br /> The City Council received an update on Parks Commission activities and subcommittees from Chair <br /> Brian Roath. <br /> The Council discussed the item and asked questions. <br /> CITY ATTORNEY REPORT <br /> City Attorney Mattick reported he would be attending the upcoming League of Cities meeting in Duluth. <br /> CITY ADMINISTRATOR/ENGINEER REPORT <br /> City Administrator/Engineer Edwards gave an update on department activities and negotiations with the <br /> City's bargaining groups. <br /> COUNCIL COMMITTEE REPORTS <br /> None <br /> MAYOR/COUNCIL REPORT <br /> Mayor and Council provided reports. <br /> ADJOURNMENT <br /> Ricks moved,Persian seconded,to adjourn the meeting at 7:50 p.m.to Monday,July 14,2025,at <br /> 6:00 p.m.VOTE: Ayes 4,Nays 0. <br /> ATTEST: <br /> Page 2 of 3 <br />
