AGENDA ITEM <br />Date: July 14, 2025 <br />Item: 13 <br />Title: LA25-000021, 2565 Dunwoody Avenue, Average Lakeshore Setback <br />Variance, Resolution 7596 <br />Presenter: Melanie Curtis, Planner <br />Section: Consent Agenda <br />Purpose: <br />This application contemplates an average lakeshore setback (ALS) variance to support <br />reconstruction of an existing deck with minimal expansions. <br />2. MN§15.99 Application Deadline: <br />This application was received and considered to be complete on May 21, 2025. The 60-day review <br />period will end on July 20, 2025. <br />3. Background: <br />The applicant requests an average lakeshore setback variance to reconstruct the existing lakeside <br />deck with a slightly modified footprint resulting in expansions within the setback. They propose to <br />reconfigure the existing layout to make it more functional. A portion of the existing deck will be <br />removed. For more details and a full analysis, please refer to the Planning Report attached as <br />Exhibit B. <br />4. Planning Commission Vote and Comment: <br />The Planning Commission held a public hearing on this request at their June 16th meeting. After <br />discussion, the Commission voted 7 to 0 on a motion to recommend approval. Planning <br />Commission minutes are attached as Exhibit E. <br />Public Comment: <br />No public comment was received on this application. <br />6.
