• <br />Metro West <br />INSPECTION SERVICES <br />Contract for Building Inspection Services <br />Key Provisions of the Contract <br />Parties Involved: The contract is between the City of Orono (the "City") and Metro West Inspection <br />Services, Inc. (the "Contractor"). It was entered into on June loth, 2025. <br />Designated: The City hereby appoints the Contractor as the Delegated Building Official on State Projects <br />for the City of Orono. The Contractor represents that they are certified by the State of Minnesota as an <br />approved Building Official for both plan review and inspections on State Projects. <br />Performance Standards: The Contractor agrees to perform services with the usual care, skill, and <br />professionalism of similar professionals. The Contractor also warrants that employees possess the necessary <br />qualifications and will perform services in a competent, timely, and professionally perform services in <br />accordance with this Contract. <br />Representations and Warranties: The Contractor states that they are certified by the State of Minnesota <br />and hold all necessary and required licenses. They also agree to comply with all relevant federal, state, and <br />local laws. <br />Term of the Contract: The contract remains in effect until terminated by either party, with a minimum of <br />forty-five (45) days' written notice. <br />Scope of Services: The Contractor will provide building inspection services for the City of Orono, following <br />all State Building Code and applicable City ordinances under Minnesota Statutes. They will perform all <br />necessary building inspections. <br />Record Keeping: The Contractor must maintain records and memoranda of all inspections, building permit <br />applications, and other necessary information. <br />Equipment: The Contractor is responsible for providing all necessary equipment, with the exception of <br />electronic equipment and data lines needed to access city -owned computer programs. Any electronic <br />equipment (e.g., tablets) used to access the City's programs must be owned and secured by the City. <br />46 <br />
