TO: Council <br />FROM: Alan P. Olson, Village Planner <br />DATE: March 5, 1979 <br />SUBJECT: Requested Release of Tax -Forfeit Property <br />We have received two new requests for release of tax forfeit property. <br />All lots were reviewed by the City in 1977. <br />A. Donna Kabanuk, 2140 Kenwood Way (Exhibit A) owns Lot 2, Block 1 <br />(17-117-23 41 0002) and parcel to rear (17-117-23 41 0031). <br />Wishes to acquire tax lot 1, block 1 (17-117-23 41 0001) for <br />combination into one building site. Combined lot area would <br />be close to (if not greater than) 80% of the 1/2 acre zoning <br />requirement. Lot 1 was assessed for 1 unit water plus footage. <br />I recommend adoption of the attached resoluti_^n to permit <br />Hennepin County to release the land for sale at this time. <br />B. Ha rsey Reder, 3585 Crystal Place (Exhibit B) owns a home on <br />Lots 13 & 14 at 3598 Livingston. He also says he owns Lot 10 <br />on Crystal Place although the 1979 tax book lists Lot 10 as tax <br />forfeit also. Wishes to acquire tax lots 8 & 9, block 3 for <br />combination with lot 10 into one building site. T 8, 9 & 10 <br />combined equal 1/2 acre. Lots 8 and 9 (combined) «v--e assessed <br />for 1 water unit and 1 sewer plant charge. Lot 10 also had 1 <br />water unit and 1 sewer plant charge. <br />I recomm-nd adoption of the attached resolution to permit Hennepin <br />County to releast the lots for sale at this time. <br />
