Davey Resource Group, Inc. <br />Tree Inventory Analysis & Maintenance Strategy <br />Page 17 <br />Section 3: Recommended <br />Maintenance <br />Due to the absence of risk ratings, DRG recommends that tree maintenance activities are prioritized <br />and completed based on the condition rating that was assigned to each tree during the inventory. Trees <br />with a condition rating of Dead should be attended to first, followed by trees with a poor rating. Trees with a <br />Fair, Good, or Excellent rating should be maintained once Poor and Dead trees have been removed. The <br />following sections describe the recommended maintenance activities for each condition rating category. <br />This five-year tree maintenance schedule takes a multi-faceted and proactive approach to managing Orono's <br />public inventoried trees. <br />244
