• <br /> A RESOLUTION RECOGNIZING <br /> COMMUNITY SERVICE OFFICER <br /> JOHN HERMAN <br /> � RESOLUTION NO. 5 5 � � � � <br /> WHEREAS, the CTTY OF ORONO AND ORONO POLICE <br /> DEPARTMENT seek staff who are responsive to the needs of the citizens and offer <br /> the employment opportunity of Community Service Officer(CSO), which can be a <br /> gateway position for persons interested in law enforcement; and <br /> WHEREAS,John Herman decided to make a midlife career change at age 36 <br /> and take the position of Orono CSO in order to become a police officer; and <br /> WHEREAS, John Herman served the City of Orono as a CSO and animal <br /> control officer for eighteen months,and has taken a position of Police Officer for the <br /> City of St. Louis Park; and <br /> WHEREAS, John has represented the City and the Police Department <br /> professionally and kindly, and <br /> � WHEREAS, John will be missed by his friends, human and canine. <br /> NOW,T�IEREFORE,be it resolved,by the City of Orono,that John Ralph <br /> Herman be recognized for his outstanding contribution as a CSO,including providing <br /> an endless supply of dog biscuits, and that he go in safety with our best wishes. <br /> Adopted by the City Council of Orono,Minnesota at a regular meeting held <br /> this 23rd day of February, 2004. <br /> ATTEST: <br /> G�v • ��- <br /> Lin a S.
