AGENDA ITEM <br />Date: May 27, 2025 <br />Title: Professional Service Contract Review Schedule <br />Presenter: Adam Edwards, City Administrator / Engineer <br />Section: Consent Agenda <br />Item: 7 <br />Purpose: <br />The purpose of this council action is to establish a timetable for reviewing professional service <br />contracts for the city. <br />2. Background: <br />The efficient operation of the city is supported by the professional service contracts for functions <br />such as Civil and Prosecuting Attorney Services, Engineering Technical Support, and Financial <br />Auditing. To encourage accountability for professional services, the city will adopt a schedule for <br />their review. <br />3. Process: <br />When a professional service comes due, per the following schedule, the service will be reviewed <br />by staff and the City Council at the beginning of the year. During the review, the city will <br />determine if it is prudent to conduct a Request for Proposal (RFP) process in order to solicit <br />proposals from other firms, providing the same types of service.
