4.08 Payroll/Human Resource. <br />In 2024, the Employee Handbook was updated to comply with state law changes, specifically the Parenting and <br />Parental Leave Act. The Accountant received certification as a Human Resource Generalist. Staff implemented an <br />onboarding and offboarding module through NeoGov software. A workplace culture assessment was completed to <br />invest in the City's employees and work towards building a better workplace. The City also held its first ever <br />annual wellness fair for staff. <br />4.09 Accounts Payable. <br />Staff had processed a record number of invoices, checks and ACH payments. <br />4.10 Utility Billing (UB) and Administration. <br />Finance continues to work closely with Public Works staff to replace dead meters and identify leaks through <br />monitoring monthly meter readings. Throughout the year, inserts were included with monthly bills to <br />communicate City happenings. Data logging of meters continues to help residents better understand their usage <br />and conserve water. <br />4.11 Information and Communications Systems. <br />The Information Technology Division provides IT services for the City and works in collaboration with LOGIS. <br />During 2024, there were numerous big projects completed by the IT division. IT had successfully set up IT <br />infrastructure at the new Public Works building, the North temporary Fire Station and the Navarre Fire Station. <br />Some of these infrastructures includes fiber, firewall, switchboards, fuel system and phonelines. IT loaded all field <br />computers with the Safety Data sheet program. Over 39 City computers' operating systems have been upgraded <br />to Windows 11. IT also upgraded from manual redaction of police video footage to a redaction software. <br />M <br />28 <br />
