Minutes <br />City Council Work Session <br />Tuesday, May 27, 2025, 5:00 PM <br />City Council Chambers 12780 Kelley Parkway, Orono, MN 55356 <br />ROLL CALL <br />City Council members present: Mayor Bob Tunheim, City Council Members Alisa Benson, Steve <br />Persian, Jacqueline Ricks, and Jon Schwingler. <br />Staff present: City Administrator Adam Edwards, Community Development Director Laura Oakden, <br />City Clerk Christine Lusian. <br />REVIEW COUNCIL GOALS AND PRIORITIES <br />Administrator Edwards introduced the topic and the mission, vision, goals, last updated in 2019, <br />and the group agreed that it's solid and includes the right stuff. Oakden explained the 2040 <br />community management plan, last updated in 2018, which will be updated in 2026. <br />The group discussed service level expectations, the development and routine measurement of <br />objectives that align with the goals, and the need for the new council to learn more about the <br />value of the city's current assets. <br />The group directed staff to develop and present a draft customer service process at the next <br />meeting as well as a parks assessment based on our current standards for proper allocation of <br />capital improvement funds. <br />ADJOURNMENT <br />Work session ended at 5:57 p.m. <br />ATTEST: <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />Christine Lusian, City Clerk Bob Tunheim, Mayor <br />4 <br />
