• _ I: Iw
OSR V4T16N O'4
June 2, 2025
Eric Evenson
LAKE MINNETONKA CONSERVATION DISTRICT
5341 MAYWOO❑ ROAD, SUITE 200 . MOUND, MINNESOTA 55364 . PH: (952) 745-0789
Lake Minnetonka Association
P O Box 248
Excelsior, MN 55331
Dear Mr. Evenson,
In a letter dated April 30, 2025 the LMCD submitted a letter of support to establish a Lake
Improvement District (LID) on Stubbs Bay.
As the result of LMCD Board discussion at the May 286 meeting, please be advised that the
support letter is being reconsidered. The discussion revolved around the request of Harrison Bay
to establish a LID for that bay. That request for support for Stubbs Bay is being held in abeyance
at this time.
Of major concern are the following:
The respective municipal action regarding an LID and the impact on land use issues;
The manner of collecting funds to support LID programs;
Any efforts to impact the water quality of the designated LID;
Chemicals and other methods for treatment to be used, mostly in the AIS scope of
services;
The legal implications/possibilities for any actions taken by the LID.
Respectfully,
James L Brimeyer
Interim Executive Director
cc: LMCD Board of Directors
www.imed.org • Imcd@Imcd.org
To preserve and enhance the "Lake Minnetonka experience"
307
