Date: May 12, 2025 Item: 12 <br />Presenter: Matt Karney, Planner <br />Section: Consent Agenda <br /> <br />Title: LA25-000018, 200 Woodhill Road, Interim Use Permit - Resolution 7583 <br /> <br /> <br />1.Purpose: <br />The applicant requests an interim use permit for grading in excess of 20,000-square feet for a <br />storm sewer replacement project at the Woodhill Country Club. <br />2.MN§15.99 Application Deadline: <br />The application was made on March 24, 2025 and deemed complete on April 10, 2025. Following <br />the 60-day review period this application expires on June 9, 2025. <br />3.Background: <br />The applicant requests an Interim Use Permit (IUP) to complete a grading and storm sewer <br />replacement project at the Woodhill Country Club between the cities of Orono and Wayzata. <br />Other ancillary improvements include reworking some greens and bunkers, addressing stormwater <br />on the site and constructing some tee boxes. The area of disturbance in Orono is 4.92 acres on a <br />property approximately 120 acres in size. <br /> <br />Link to Item Packet <br /> <br />Note: The application was submitted multiple times by the applicant creating multiple application numbers. <br />The application was originally published and reviewed by the Planning Commission at the Public Hearing as <br />LA25-000013. The application number has been changed to LA25-000018 to match the application number <br />when the payment was processes within the permitting system. <br />4.Planning Commission Vote and Comment: <br />On April 21, 2025, the Planning Commission held a public hearing and discussed IUP application. <br />The Planning Commission discussed the project and the site improvements for the golf course as a <br />whole. Following the public hearing, the Commission voted 6-0 to recommend approval of the <br />interim use permit as recommended by staff.
