<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />CITY OF ORONO <br />RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL <br />NO. 7582 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING <br />THE FACILITIES SERVICES FUND <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Central Services department within the General Fund tracks <br />expenditures that applies to all departments; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City has been tracking facility operating expenditure as part of the <br />Central Services department; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the use of internal service funds improves financial management by <br />allowing more precise tracking of costs related to specific services; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, internal service funds are useful for budgeting and decision-making; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City already tracks information technology, insurance and fleet related <br />expenditures as internal services fund; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the creation of a Facilities Services Fund will allow precise tracking of <br />costs related to facility services, supplies, maintenance and repairs; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the fund will charge other departments for services provided; and <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Facilities Services Fund be <br />establish. <br /> <br />Adopted by the City Council of Orono, Minnesota at a regular meeting held on May 12, 2025. <br /> <br />ATTEST: CITY OF ORONO <br /> <br /> <br />___________________________________ __________________________________ <br />Christine Lusian, City Clerk Bob Tunheim, Mayor <br />85
