' <br /> :� <br /> • � O� <br /> 0 O <br /> � '� S C ITY of ORONO <br /> � --- : - � . <br /> ti <br /> ti <br /> RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL <br /> �'��9 4�'G NO. � � � � `�' . <br /> kESI3� <br /> A RESOLUTION GRANTING VARIANCES <br /> TO MUNICIPAL ZONING CODE <br /> SECTIONS 78-305 <br /> FILE NO. 04-3007 <br /> WHEREAS,Harold F.Bower and Mildred Bower,husband and wife(hereinafter"the <br /> applicants")are owners of the property located at 1925 Lakeview Terrace within the City of Orono <br /> (hereinafter"the City") and legally described as follows: • <br /> Lot 2, Block 2, Long Lake Country Club Addition, <br /> Hennepin County, Minnesota(hereinafter "the property"); and <br /> WHEREAS,the applicants submitted an application requesting avariance to Municipal <br /> Zoning Code Section 78-305 to pemut the construction of a single familyresidence on a lot of 29,700 s.f. <br /> • or 0.69 acres in dry buildable area where a lot area of 87,120 s.f. or 2.0 acres is required; and <br /> WHEREAS,after due published notice and mailed notice in accordance with Muuzesota <br /> Statutes and the City of Orono Zonnlg and Planiung Codes,the Orono Planning Commission held a public <br /> hearing on May 17 and July 19,2004,at which times all persons desiring to be heard concerning this <br /> application were given the opportunity to speak thereon. <br /> NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED bythe Ciiy Council of Orono,Minnesota: <br /> FINDINGS <br /> 1. This application was reviewed as Zoning File#04-3007. <br /> 2. The property is located in the LR-1 A Lakeshore Residential Zoning District requiring a <br /> minimum lot area of 2.0 acres and aininunum lot width of 200'forresidential development. <br /> The properly is 0.69 acres in drybuildable area and approximately 280 feet in width at the <br /> _ rear of the required front yard. <br /> 3. The Planning Commission reviewed the variance application at public hearings held on <br /> May 17,2004 and July 19,2004 and recommended approval by a vote of 7-0 based on <br /> the following findings and,hardships: <br /> • <br /> Page 1 of 7 <br />
