CITY <br />OF <br />ORONO <br />city of OROIVO <br />RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL <br />NO. <br />A RESOLUTION GRANTING <br />A CONDTIONAL USB PERMIT <br />PER MUNICIPAL ZONING CODE <br />SECTION 10.28, SUBDIVISION 3 (A), AND <br />PER SECTION 10.41, SUBDIVISION 2 <br />APPROVES THE ISSUANCE OP A BUILDING PERMIT <br />PILE 11418 <br />WHEREAS, Orono School District #278 (hereinafter "the <br />applicant") has an interest in the property located at 685 Old <br />Crystal Bay Road within the City of Orono (hereinafter "City") <br />and legally described as follows: <br />Part of the North 1/2 of the Northwest 1/4 of Section 33, <br />Township 118, Range 23, Hennepin County, Minnesota <br />(hereinafter "property"); and <br />WHBREAJ, the applicant has applied to the City of Orono <br />for a conditional use permit to permit a proposed addition that <br />would connect the Orono Middle School and the Orono Elementary <br />School per Municipal Zoning Code Section 10.28, Subdivision 3 <br />(A), and per Section 10.41, Subdivision 2 approves the issuance <br />of a building permit for the that same addition. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of <br />Orono, Minnesota; <br />FINDINGS <br />1. This application was reviewed as Zoning Fi?e #1418. <br />2. The property is located in the RR-IB Rural Residential <br />Zoning District requiring 2 acres in area. The property <br />consists of 40+ acres. <br />3. On June 19, 1989, the Orono Planning Commission reviewed <br />the application as proposed and recommended approval based <br />on the follow'lng findings: <br />A) The school use has existed since the early 1950s- <br />B) There is adequate sewer and water available <br />serve the proposed expansion. <br />C) The proposed location of the addition has been <br />found to meet the standards and intent of the <br />appropriate zoning chapters, the intent of the zoning <br />district and the Comprehensive Management Plan of the <br />City.
