Absent: Kim Carswell, Mollie Reynolds. <br /> Staff present: City Administrator Adam Edwards, Parks and Facilities Superintendent Joe <br /> Ruthenberg, City Clerk Christine Lusian <br /> JOINT MEETING WITH PARK COMMISSION <br /> Mayor Tunheim opened the work session and Edwards introduced the agenda including <br /> commission roles and goals, and an overview of the parks in Orono which contains 49 lake <br /> access points, 21 parks, and 5 named trails. Edwards pointed to city code and comprehensive <br /> plan provides the guidance and direction for the Parks commission process, which begins with a <br /> concern, idea, or input from the community, commissioner, staff <br /> The group discussed budgeting, maintenance, capital improvements, revenue, grants, branding, <br /> establishing standards, increasing meeting frequency, and the code of conduct. <br /> ADJOURNMENT <br /> Work session ended at 5:58 p.m. <br /> ATTEST: CITY COUNCIL <br /> Christine usian, C'ty Clerk Alis enson, Acting Mayor <br />
