RESOLUTION # 808 <br />A RESOLUTION REQUESTING THE HENNEPIN COUNTY <br />HIGHWAY DEPARTMENT TO CONDUCT A TRAFFIC STUDY <br />ON SHORELINE DRIVE, (COUNTY ROAD #15), FROM <br />FERNDALE ROAD WEST TO ORONO ORCHARD ROAD <br />WHEREAS, the City of Orono has received several <br />complaints from citizens in Orono concernin the traffic <br />problem on Shoreline Drive (County Road #15�, from Fern- <br />dale Road west to.Orono Orchard Road, and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Oronots staff has reviewed <br />the traffic problem, and have recommended that the speed <br />limit on that section of Shoreline Drive (County Road #15), <br />which has a 50 MPH speed limit, should be lowered, and <br />WHEREAS, there are several private driveways <br />and city streets intersecting with Shoreline Drive <br />(County Road #15); and the sight distance is obscure. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City of <br />Orono does hereby request the Hennepin County Highway <br />Department to conduct a traffic study on Sb.oreline Drive <br />(County Road #15), from Ferndale Road west to Orono Orchard <br />Road, and to report the findings of that study to the City <br />of Orono. <br />Adopted by the City Council of the City of Orono, Minnesota, <br />at a regular meeting held July 25, 1977. <br />Attest: <br />Walter R Benson, Clerk -Administrator <br />
