A RBSOLOTIOH 6RANTIHG <br />A VARIANCE TO <br />MUNICIPAL ZONING CODE <br />SECTION 10.03, SUBDIVISION 9(D) <br />PILE #1423 <br />WHEREAS, Edward C. Brown (hereinafter "the applicant") <br />is the owner of the property located at 355 Stubbs Bay Road North <br />within the City of Orono (hereinafter "City") and legally <br />described as follows: <br />Exhibit "A" attached, (hereinafter "the property"); and <br />WHEREAS, the applicant has applied to the City for a <br />variance to Municipal Zoning Code Section 10.03, Subdivision 9(D) <br />to permit the construction of a detached garage to be located <br />nearer the front lot line than the principal structure on the <br />property, where no accessory structures are normally allowed. <br />HOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of <br />Orono, Minnesota: <br />1. <br />FINDINGS <br />This application was reviewed as Zo< <br />2. The property is located in the RR- <br />Residential Zoning District. <br />File #1423. <br />»jle Family Rural <br />3. The property is 10.0 acres in area. <br />4. The Orono Planning Commission reviewed this application <br />on June 19, 1989, and recommended approval of the proposed <br />variance based upon the following findings: <br />a. The proposed garage will not be visible from <br />neighboring properties due to screening by existing <br />vegetation on the property. <br />b. proposed garage has no visual impact on the <br />surrou..ding neighborhood. <br />Page 1 of 4
