Anderson moved, seconded by Wright, to <br />authorize up to two (2) members to attend the NFLCP conference <br />and to confirm the second person attending before sending the <br />confirmation. Motion was discussed. It was asked if an <br />alternate person could be set up in case a cancellation would <br />arise. Motion was then approved unanimously. The Commission <br />directed Watts to send a letter to Commission members who were <br />not present at the meeting asking if they would be interested in <br />attending the conference. <br />C. ZBIM <br />Ric Hanson of Triax reviewed his monthly report: <br />Ending Basic Subscribers 5131 <br />Basic Penetration 44.83% <br />Total Pay Units 3809 <br />Basic Subscriber Gain 41 <br />Hanson reported to the Commission that construction has started <br />in Hamel. Approximately 15.4 miles of cable will be completed <br />by June 15. <br />Triax has been having sume difficulty with Midwest Sports and <br />have made a few alterations in their contract. Triax is not <br />able to pick up all of the games scheduled to be picked up <br />because of microwave feed problems. Midwest Sports sent out a <br />revised schedule to Triax showing which games Triax will be able <br />to receive. <br />Wallace Roepke of Excelsior was in attendance at the meeting to <br />complain about ghosting ak;d flickering problems with his cable. <br />He called the service line ('*800'* number) several times, the <br />operator took his name and phone number; Roepke never received a <br />call back. Mr. Roepke also complained about the high rates and <br />poor quality of service and feels the rates are rising and the <br />quality is falling. Hanson apologized to Mr. Roepke for the <br />poor service he has received. Hanson explained to Mr. Roepke <br />that there may be some system leakage problems either on his set <br />connection or possibly on the pole. Hanson will follow up on <br />Mr. Roepke's complaint. Dean Johnson asked Hanson what was the <br />motive to change the local Triax telephone number to an **800** <br />number. Hanson explained it was changed for a ionalized <br />concept to have one area receive all calls to < rol the <br />delivery of messages. <br />NOMINATING COMMITTEE <br />Lesley Hughes-Seamans read off the names for nomination: <br />Tom Anderson was nominated for Chairperson. <br />Jim Swartwood was nominated for Vice Chairperson. <br />Barb Brancel was nominated for Secretary. <br />Jims Old.3 was nominated for Treasurer. <br />The members at large nominated were Dennis Haggerty, Lesley <br />Hughes-Seamans and David Stahr. <br />c
