Water Regulations Memo. a ted 3/23/89 <br />ISSUE - Determine if the Council would desire to remove or modify <br />the odd/even watering regulations currently in force. <br />INTRODDCT". - At the Council's March 27, 1989 meeting Council <br />reinstat* ,£ watering regulations for the year because of the <br />continui oncern regarding water supplies. <br />DISCUSriCN - When originally placed on the agenda for this <br />meeting there had been adequate rainfall (although not above <br />normal) however, this has been tapering off and there has been no <br />significant positive change in the level of Lake Minnetonka. <br />The item is presented to determine if the Council would like to <br />do anything at this point, and if not the water regulations will <br />stay in force. <br />ALTERNATIVES <br />1. Choose to take no action this point. <br />2. Repeal the regulations. <br />3. Modify the regulations. <br />4. Table for further consideration. <br />RECOMMENDATION - It is recommended that action on this item be <br />tab ie‘3 until the August 14, 1989 meeting. To see if <br />substantially more rainfall than normal has accumulated. <br />PROPOSED MOTION - Moved by _ seconded by_, to table tMs item <br />until the August 14, 1989 Council meeting.
