on a case by case basis or in relation to achieving any <br />master plan arrangements the City would desire. <br />There does not seem to be substantial interest at this point in <br />assisting any redevelopment, in part because of the experiences <br />of a neighboring community. The issue regarding redevelopment <br />may well be one of the extent of public participation needed in <br />order to make the project work together with the . purity <br />guarentee given for the public participation by the ^eloper. <br />(Presently the party interested in redevelopment is working on <br />general estimates to determine the extent of assistance needed in <br />order to undertake redevelopment of the south side.) <br />ACTION - <br />1. Make available an opportunity for those not present on the <br />June 1st meeting to hear the presentation. <br />2. Undertake a discussion on the next steps. <br />3. Take no action. <br />4. Table. <br />RECOMMENDATION - It is recommended that the opportunity be made <br />aval lable for the presentation for those interested. It could <br />possibly be as part of a joint Planning Comraission/Counci1 <br />meeting tentatively scheduled for Saturday, July 29. In addition <br />that meeting could include discussion of further steps.
