SESOLDTION NO. 47-89 <br />A RESOLDTION SUPPORTING AND RECOMMENDING JAN HAUGEN <br />MAYOR, CITY OF SHOREWOOD, FOR THE OPENING IN AREA F <br />ON THE REGIONAL TRANSIT BOARD <br />WHEREAS, Jan Haugen, Mayor, Clcy of Slorewood, has serred on Che <br />Cicy Council of Che CiCy of Shorewood since 3976; and, <br />WHEREAS, Jan Haugen has bejn involved in transiC anJ cransporcacion <br />planning issues as a member of Che Cicy Counci, and as Mayor since 1976; <br />and, <br />WHEREAS, Jan Haugen has served on Che RTB Chairman's Advisory <br />Board; and, <br />WHEREAS, Jan Haugen has served on Che ^MM Board and ics Revenue and <br />Transporcacion commiccees; and, <br />WHEREAS, Jan Haugen has served on Che Hennepin Councy LighC Rail <br />Advisory commiccee for Che S.W. Area since 1976; and, <br />WHEREAS, Jan Haugen has been involved in Councy, Mecropolican, and <br />Scace organizacions as a founder and t^residenc of Che Women in GovernmenC, <br />and as a founder and Board member of Women ElecCed Officials of Minnesoca, <br />and on numerous League of Cicies and Mecropolican Council commiCCees; and, <br />WHEREAS, Jan Haugen will consider all aspeccs of CransporCaCion in <br />cransic planning. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by Che CiCy Council of Che CiCy of <br />Shorewood, <br />THAT, Che CiCy Council of Che Cicy of Shorewood recommends Jan Haugen <br />for Che vacancy on Che Regional TransiC Board; and, <br />THAT, Che Cicy Council of :he Cicy of Shorewood supporcs Che nominacion <br />of Jan Haugen for Che vacancy on Che Regional TransiC Board chroughouc Cha <br />seleccion process. <br />ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SHOREWOOD Chis 12ch day of June, <br />1989. <br />ATTEST? <br />Sandra L.
