r pr <br />RESOLUTION NO. 593 <br />A RESOLUTION DIRECTING STAFF TO RESTRICT <br />USE OF LAKE ACCESS ON SMITH'S BAY <br />WHEREAS, The City of Orono has legal title.to property <br />which presently provides lake access for vehicles and boats <br />near Paul's Landing on Smith's Bay on County Road 15, and <br />WHEREAS, The use of that access during the months of <br />March 1 through December 1 each year results in the creation <br />of a traffic hazard for those using County Road 15 and for <br />the citizens in the neighborhood, <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: <br />1. The use by vehicles and boats of the above access <br />shall be allowed only during the time period of December 1 to <br />• March 1 each year until further notice. <br />2. The staff is directed to mark the boundaries of <br />the access, to post the necessary signs to notify the public <br />of these restrictions, and to close the access to vehicles <br />and boats during the period of March 1 to December 1 each <br />year. <br />3. In no way is the city abandoning its interest in <br />the access by this action and the city reserves the right to <br />change the restrictions on the use of this access at any time <br />in the future. <br />The foregoing resolution was adopted by the City Council <br />of the City of Orono on April 22, 1975, by a vote of 3 ayes <br />and 0 nays. <br />a� �Ie aL <br />Robert L.
