MN 55323 <br />Attn: Jeanne Mabusth <br />Re: 139-1403 Crystal Bay Road <br />Storm Damage Repair <br />Dear Jeanne: <br />We have reviewed the lakeshore restoration work proposed on the Wolfe (3255 <br />Crystal Bay Rd.), Schupp (3215 Crystal Bay Rd.) and Erger (3265 Crystal Bay <br />Rd.) property. <br />The exposed wall should not exceed three feet in height along the Wolfe and <br />Erger property. We would recommend that the stairway on the Wolfe property be <br />modified to provide a single landing area similar to the Erger submittal. <br />This would eliminate the retaining walls shown by the property owner. <br />The landscaping proposed on the Wolfe and Erger property should help to <br />camouflage the wall as well as provide bank stabilization. We would recommend <br />more coniferous plantings with adequate vertical height to break up the wall <br />during the winter months. <br />We would recommend that the City approve a concept plan for the restoration <br />work and then require a more detailed plan of the stairway construction, <br />plantings, erosion control during construction and time schedule. <br />If you have any questions, please contact this office. <br />Yours very truly. <br />BONESTROO.
