• <br />• <br />• <br />RESOLUTION NO. 585 <br />RESOLUTION EXTENDING ALL EXISTING MARINA <br />LICENSES TO MAY 15, 1975 <br />WHEREAS, Chapter 73 of the Orono Municipal Code provides <br />that it shall be unlawful for any person to operate a commer- <br />cial boat dock business or be engaged in the business of dock- <br />ing, mooring or storing boats in the City of Orono without <br />first obtaining a license from the council, and <br />WHEREAS, the applicants for the licenses should have <br />completed their applications and filed same with the city <br />prior to March 1, 1975, and <br />WHEREAS, the applications were not filed timely and <br />once were filed, they were not complete or in conformance <br />with Chapter 73, and <br />WHEREAS, the city desires to assist the applicants in <br />preparing applications which meet the requirements of Chapter <br />73, <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: <br />1. That the deadline of April 15 by which date the <br />city may issue licenses for 1975 shall be extended to May 15, <br />1975 in order to allow the applicants additional time to prove <br />that the proposed operations would not be contrary to the <br />health, safety and welfare of the citizens of Orono and con- <br />trary to the requirements of Chapter 73 and the Zoning Code. <br />2. This extension shall not grant any vested right <br />or any right to the present licensed marina operators or <br />licensed premises but is meant only to allow the applicants <br />additional time to complete their applications. <br />The foregoing resolution was adopted by the City Council <br />of the City of Orono on April 18, 1975, by a vote of three <br />ayes and 0 nays. <br />Aa <br />Robert L.
