RESOLUTION #573 <br />RESOLUTION ADOPTING THE OFFICIAL <br />BIKEIVAYS-IVALb'WAYS SYSTEM MAP FOR <br />THE CITY OF ORONO <br />WHEREAS, the City of Orono has reviewed the park, recreation <br />and transportation plans for the City of Orono, and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that the City of <br />Orono needs to develop a bikeways -walkways system as soon as possible <br />to promote the general health, safety, and welfare of the citizens of <br />Orono by providing bikeways and walkways along the roadways to eliminate <br />the presently dangerous joint use of the roadways by bicycle riders, <br />pedestrians and motorized vehicles, and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council finds that there is a great <br />demand for bikeways and walkways along certain roadways to facilitate <br />the use of the recreational assets within Orono, <br />• NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council adopts <br />the attached map as the Official Bikeways -Walkways System Map for the <br />City of Orono. <br />Adopted by the City Council of the City of Orono, Hennepin County, <br />Minnesota at a regular meeting held February 25, 1975. <br />Attest: <br />4 Iter R.
