-cOAr, CITY OF ORONO <br /> RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL <br /> y� ` NO. 7577 <br /> j,kESHO4`" <br /> B3. The use is operated in compliance with Chapter 62, Animals; this criterion is met with <br /> the approval of variances for the two preceding conditional use standards. <br /> Based on the application and the evidence submitted, the Council finds that the proposed use <br /> at the proposed location is or will be: <br /> B4. Consistent with the community management plan; the Plan allows for residential use <br /> and there is a single-family residence on the Property. A conditional use permit to allow <br /> for the keeping Farm Animals is accessory to the residential use and is consistent with <br /> the Plan; and <br /> B5. Compliant with the zoning code, including any conditions imposed on specific uses as <br /> required by article V, division 3 of the City Code; this condition is met with the granting <br /> of variances; and <br /> B6. Adequately served by police, fire, roads, and stormwater management; the Property <br /> meets this standard; and <br /> B7. Provided with an adequate water supply and sewage disposal system; the Property <br /> meets this standard; and <br /> B8. Not expected to generate excessive demand for public services at public cost; this <br /> proposal is not anticipated to impact public services; and <br /> B9. Compatible with the surrounding area as the area is used both presently and as it is <br /> planned to be used in the future; the Property is located in an area with natural <br /> resources and low-density residential development. The keeping of Farm Animals is <br /> found to be compatible with the existing and future conditions of the area; and <br /> B10. Consistent with the character of the surrounding area, unless a change of character is <br /> called for in the community management plan; the character of the area leans on its <br /> natural resources, its proximity to Long Lake, and the abundant trees and wildlife. To <br /> the south and east of the Property is the undeveloped, Wood-Rill Scientific and Natural <br /> Area. Keeping Farm Animals is consistent with the natural and rural character of this <br /> area; and <br /> B11. Compatible with the character of buildings and site improvements in the surrounding <br /> area, unless a change of character is called for in the community management plan; <br /> including the few nearby single-family residences, the surrounding area is rural in <br /> 5 <br />
