Bernhardson, City Administrat <br />DATE: May 10, 1989 <br />SUBJECT: Wayzata Community Education Representative <br />ISSUE - Notification of vacancy for the positio- <br />representative to Wayzata Community Education Board. <br />Orono <br />INTRODUCTION - As noted at the last meeting the Jity's <br />representative to the Board has moved out of the City and the <br />District would like another representative. <br />DISCUSSION - At this time the City is not aware of any persons <br />who are interested from that District. Solicitation of a name <br />could either be done by the City or the School District. The <br />District Community Education has indicated their willingness to <br />seek a new applicant. <br />ALTERNATIVES - <br />1. Take no action. <br />2. Request the School Board solicite an interested party from <br />their Orono mailing list. <br />3. The City advertise. <br />4. Request CounciImembers contact people they know in the area to <br />find out if there would be persons interested. <br />RECOMMENDATION - It is recommended that the City ask the School <br />district to send a notice to Orono residents who live within <br />their District to see if there are interested parties. <br />PROPOSED MOTION - Moved by , seconded by _, that the Council <br />direct staff to work with tTTe Wayzata School District to have <br />them determine if there are other interested parties in service <br />on that Board.
