TRIAX <br />Ric Hanson of Triax reviewed his monthly report: <br />Ending Basic Subsribers 5090 <br />Basic Penetration 46% <br />Total Pay units 3803 <br />Basis Subscriber gain 9 <br />Pay Units gain 135 <br />Hanson informed the Commission that Triax is continuing door to <br />door sales plus telemarketing and in the first week of May a <br />HBO/Cinemax direct mail will be received by subscribers. <br />Olds asked Hanson if there has been a channel change ^ rJing <br />Cinemax. Hanson explained to Olds that Cinemax was r.rved to <br />Channel 22 and the Sports Channel replaced the space where <br />Cinemax was. The rapid change was due to dealings with Midwest <br />Sports Channel, as soon as the deal was made Triax immediately <br />put Midwest Sports on the Cinemax channel and bumped Cinemax to <br />channel 22. Hanson informed the Commission that the subscribers <br />will be informed through their next billing statement. Hanson <br />Iso mentioned that Cinemax will stay on Channel 22, subscribers <br />will no longer need a special convertor box to receive Cinemax, <br />due to positive traps that have been installed in the system. <br />Hanson informed the Commission that there may be extra funds <br />allocated for capital expenses. If any special equipment is <br />needed. Administrator Watts should contact Triax. <br />1988 FINANCIAL AUDIT <br />MOTION 4.18.89.3: Anderson moved, seconded by Olds, to accept <br />the offer from W.F. Denny Company to perform the 1988 financial <br />audit. Motion carried unanimously. <br />UNFINISHED BUSINESS <br />Administrator Watts questioned the Commission on the next step <br />for the Technical audit. The Commission requested Administrator <br />Watts to contact Ric Hanson of Triax and request Triax's most <br />recent audit and other information that would be helpful in the <br />technical audit. <br />Olds questioned the fact that Triax made channel changes without <br />contacting the Commission. feels the Commission should be <br />aware of all channel changes and Triax should follow this <br />procedure by contacLinci the Commission. He also questioned the <br />P.E.G. (Public, Educational and Government) channels and wonders <br />how safe they are in the channel Tine-up. The Commission <br />directed Watts to contact the Attorney and gat his view on the <br />P.E.G. channels aid what to do tc 'void future conflict.
