Similarly, a decisive majority <br />favor the City funding lobbying efforts connecting Downtown Minneapolis with Hopkins, <br />Minnetonka, Wayzata, and Orono. <br />The communications system within the City is dominated by print media. Most residents <br />rely upon articles in the "Laker" or "Pioneer" newspapers, as well as the City Newsletter. <br />In fact, almost three -out -of -four residents feel informed about City Government and its <br />activities. And, by two -to -one, residents positively rate the job the City does in <br />communicating with residents. <br />The City of Orono is an exceptional community. It ranks among the top five percent of <br />communities in the Metropolitan Area. When thinking about their community, residents take a <br />long term perspective rather than a short term view. They are supportive of current policies as <br />well as longer -term strategies. As a result, the City possesses a unique reservoir of goodwill, one <br />which will serve it well in the future. <br />120 <br />
