Minutes <br />City Council Special Meeting <br />Monday, March 24, 2025, 6:00 PM <br />City Council Chambers 2780 Kelley Parkway, Orono, MN 55356 <br />Ricks moved, Berrett seconded, to adopt Resolution 7573 supporting retention of local zoning <br />authority. VOTE: Ayes 5, Nays 0. <br />COUNCIL COMMITTEE REPORTS <br />9. Council Committee and Board Reports <br />Benson reported on the Police Commission meeting. <br />MAYOR/COUNCIL REPORT <br />Mayor and Council provided reports. <br />CLOSED SESSION <br />10. Closed Session to discuss Long Lake v. Orono litigation. <br />Persian moved, Ricks seconded, to enter into closed session at 7:00 p.m., as permitted by Section <br />13D.05 subd 3(c)3 to hold confidential attorney -client privilege discussion concerning strategy in <br />the Long Lake v. Orono litigation. VOTE: Ayes 5, Nays 0. <br />(The City Council was in closed session from 7:00 p.m. to 10:17 p.m.) <br />ADJOURNMENT <br />Tunheim moved, Benson seconded, to adjourn the meeting at 10:17 p.m. to Monday, April 14, 2025 <br />at 6:00 p.m. VOTE: Ayes 5, Nays 0. <br />ATTEST: <br />Christine Lusian, City Clerk Bob Tunheim, Mayor <br />Minutes approved by Orono City Council April 14, 2025.
