RESOLUTION # 520 <br />A RESOLUTION CONCERNING JOINT PURCHASING AGREEMENT <br />WHEREAS, the Village of Orono has in the past exercised <br />its joint powers authorization as provided by the provisions of <br />Minnesota Statutes 1965, Section 471.59, and has intended to <br />continue this joint exercise of powers in 1974, specifically as <br />it concerns the joint purchase of diesel fuel oil, heating fuel, <br />gasoline and food products; and <br />WHEREAS, Hennepin County has on two separate occasions <br />solicited bids for these products, and <br />WHEREAS, on both occasions no bids were received for <br />such requirements except for a small amount of diesel fuel and <br />heating oil, which leaves the County of Hennepin and Instrumentalties <br />for which it is purchasing without any contractural commitment <br />for the year 1974; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, That the Village of Orono <br />requests of Hennepin County to continue this joint exercise of <br />power and have the Hennepin County Director of Purchasing and Stores <br />enter into any contract or contracts or to acquire through emergency <br />purchase requirements ford,-e'sel fuel oil, heating fuel, gasoline, <br />and food products for the Village of Orono subject to subsequent <br />ramification by the Hennepin County Board of Commissioners under <br />Minnesota Statute 1971, 375.22. <br />Adopted by the Village Council of 'the Village of Orono, Minnesota <br />at a regular meeting held November 12, 1973. <br />Attest: - ✓ <br />/ mes os y, e - ministrator <br />
