MINUTES OP THE PLANNING COMMISSION MEETING FEBRUARY 2i, 1989 <br />ATTENDANCE 7:00 P.M. <br />The Orono Planning Commission met on the above date with the <br />following members present: Chairman Kelleyr Planning <br />Commissioners Bellows, Cohen, Hanson and Moos. Planning <br />Commissioner Brown arrived at 7:05 p.m. The following <br />represented the City staff: Building and Zoning Administrator <br />Mabusth, Assistant Planning and Zoning Administrator Gaffron and <br />City Recorder Scheffler. Council Representative J. Diann Goetten <br />attended. <br />fl368 THOMAS B. MCNELLIS <br />315 & 355 NOODHILL ROAD <br />SUBDIVISION OF A LOT LINE REARRANGEMENT <br />PUBJ LIC HEARING 7:00 P.M. - 7:02 P.M. <br />The Affidavit of Publication and Certificate of Mailing were <br />duly noted. <br />The applicant was present for this matter. <br />Assistant Planning and Zoning Administrator Gaffron <br />explained that Mr. McNellis was requesting approval of a lot line <br />rearrangement that was required as a condition ol approval of a <br />previous variance application. The lot line rearrangement will <br />alleviate the need for a variance to the 50* front setback from <br />the east lot line. <br />There were no comments from the pub'^ic regarding this macter <br />and the public hearing was closed. <br />It was moved by Planning Commissioner Bellows, seconded <br />Planning Commissioner Cohen, to recommend approval of a <br />subdivision of a lot line rearrangement for Mr. Thomas McNellis. <br />Motion Ayes*5, Nays*0, Motion passed. <br />#1370 D. SISK <br />4330 & 4340 NORTH SHORE DRIVE <br />SUBDIVISION OF A LOT LINE REARRANGEMENT <br />PUBLIC HEARING 7:15 P.M. - 7:18 P.M. <br />The Affidavit of Publication and Certificate of Mailing were <br />duly noted. <br />Mr. Jeff Sisk was present for this matter. <br />Zoning Administrator Mabusth explained that the lot line <br />rearrangement was being proposed to allow the Sisk property a <br />riparian lot classification. Mr. Sisk was advised by Staff that <br />subdivisions, strictly for the purpose of riparian access, were <br />unlikely, unless the property met the required lot width at the <br />shoreline. Mr. Sisk filed the application based upon previous <br />conditions of the property that would have implied previous <br />riparian status. The DNR confirmed that dredging had occurred in <br />the past, and that in 1964, a permit was issued to the owners of <br />Lot 4 to fill 20*. The City of Orono, the Watershed District and
