" i <br />THE CITY OF THE VILLAGE OF MINNETONKA BEACH <br />REGULAR COUNCIL MEETING <br />MONDAY SEPTEMBER 12, 1988 <br />CALL TO ORDER: <br />. <br />ROLL CALL: <br />I' . <br />REGULAR C. siNCIL <br />MEETING MINUTES: <br />* •* ■ <br />% <br />BUDGET MEETING <br />MINUTES: <br />POLICE REPORT: <br />CRYSTAL BAY <br />ROAD CLOSING: <br />The regular Council Meeting was called to order by Mayor <br />Brian Bedell at 7:05 PM. <br />Mayor Brian Bedell, CounciImembers Abdo, Stebbins, <br />Brodersen, Melamed and Bersie. <br />A motion was made by Councilmember Abdo to <br />approve the Regular Council Meeting Minutes of August <br />8, 1988. Seconded by Councilmember Brodersen. All <br />approved. 4 ayes. <br />A motion was made by Councilmember Abdo to approve the <br />Budget Meeting Minutes of August 24, 1988. Seconded by <br />Councilmember Brodersen. All approved. 4 ayes. <br />Chief Kilbo ill. No report. <br />Comments were heard from residents. The Council stated <br />that the road should remain open. A letter will be <br />forwarded to the City of Orono stating our position. All <br />approved. <br />RESOLUTION 14 <br />SUPER CYCLE <br />A motion was made by Councilmember Abdo to approve a one <br />year contract with Super Cycle. Seconded by Councilmember <br />Stebbins. CounciImembers Stebbins, aye; Abdo, aye; <br />Melamed, aye; and Broderson, aye. <br />CONTAINERS FOR <br />PICK-UP: <br />A motion was made by Councilmember Abdo to acquire 250 20- <br />gallon recycleable containers, one to be supplied to each <br />address, that will remain with the home if occupants move. <br />Seconded by Councilmember Melamed. All approved. 4 ayes. <br />NORTHWEST BALLET: The Council approved the request for the party at the <br />Lafayette Club as long as it is not charitable gambling and <br />complies with all State laws and ordinances. A letter will <br />be sent to Steve Wood stating the City's intentions. <br />TREASURER'S <br />REPORT: <br />Approved as submitted. <br />DUFFY'S REPORT:1) <br />2) <br />Seal coating & cleaning completed. <br />Water plant - Duffy is asking for prices for sand <br />blasting & repainting. <br />Leaf pick-up will be established by next Council <br />Meeting. <br />WESTSUBURBAN <br />MEDIATION CENTER: <br />RESOLUTION 15 <br />FIRE PROTECTION <br />PROPOSAL: <br />Chief Kilbo requested the City of Minnetonka Beach to <br />contribute to tha Center. A motion was made by <br />Councilmember Stebbins to approved a $200.00 donation. <br />Seconded by Councilmember Abdo. All approved. 4 ayes. <br />A motion was made by Councilmember Melamed to approve the <br />Mound Fire contract 4 budget proposal. Seconded by <br />CounciImcuiber Abdo. Councilmembers Stebbins, aye; Melamed, <br />aye; Abdo, aye; and Broderson, aye.
