Two additional comments are necessary: <br />1 - Enough sand should be placed above the surface soil <br />to maintain a 3' separation between the shallowest mottled <br />zone and the bottom of the rock bed in the mound. On some <br />sites this will mean 2' of sand should be placed. <br />2 - In all cases, mound placement should be at the most <br />level spot available in the natural topography in the <br />area tested. <br />I recommend approval of the subdivision, with the further <br />stipulation that during read construction the drainfield <br />sites remain totally undisturbed. <br />
