There ere certain faults ‘.vith the •xistlng <br />floor plan he v/ishes to correct at f.;is tice, yet preserve the <br />existing design characteristics of the home and retain the exist* <br />ing large shade trees. <br />The follox^ing la a list of faalts t-fith the existing floor plan. <br />1, The main entry to the house is through the porch end directly <br />into the ::itch en or dining room, <br />2. The existing ^citenen is too small, outdated, and directly in <br />the everyday trs-ffic psttern. <br />5, There Isn't a utility roon on the first floor. <br />4. The 0\.ncrs wish to have e guest bedroom. <br />The site plan and existing floor plan were studied and various <br />options available to us were explored v;hen designing a core effic <br />ient floor plan that would n=et the Owners needs. The follov/ing la <br />the results of our studies, <br />1. Expansion to the .lorth, <br />a. The existinr rooms do not relate to a kitchen expansion to <br />the ..'orth side of ^he nouse, <br />b. nearness to County ?.d. 5 <br />c Some large shade trees would be destroyed. <br />d. The septic system would be effected, <br />2. Expansion to the East. <br />a. The sjnrcetry of the cost prodoclnctc ele*.*atlon of the house <br />would be destroyed, affecting the homes character. This is <br />the cost visible side of the house when driving up the drive <br />way. <br />b. An addition to this side would me he the existing Dining Room <br />an inside room; naming it very daric and with no view or <br />windows; probably against the building code, <br />c. The existing porch would be destroyed. <br />5* Expansion to the South, <br />a. The main entry should be oi this side of the house. The <br />drivewfty terminates on this aide and the garage is located <br />on this side. <br />b.
