Gerhardson, Public Works Coordinator <br />Proa: Jack Brinkhaus, Street Foreman <br />Date: February 1, 1989 <br />Subject: Seasonal Weight Restrictions <br />Attached is a list of the recommended axle weight limit <br />restrictions for each City street. The streets will be posted <br />from March 15 through May 15r 1989. <br />The normal length of time that restrictions are in effect is <br />related to weather conditions. Certain streets might be closed <br />to school buses if a street becomes impassible. <br />In the past several years, we have allowed solid waste <br />haulers to continue their normal operations, limiting them to <br />gross weight on any single axle of seven tons or 14,000 pounds. <br />If a street shows signs of severe breakup we will limit the solid <br />waste haulers to smaller vehicles. <br />I have drafted a resolution for the 1989 weight limits for <br />Council approval. <br />WEETWe <br />OF <br />TO: <br />FROM: <br />Mayor and City Council <br />Mark E.
