Presentation to Council of alternative packages that are <br />agreeable to Hennepin County. <br />2. Determination as to what alternatives the Council desires for <br />further consideration. <br />INTRODUCTION - As indicated in Attachment D Attachment E <br />represents Hennepin County's summary of three different packages <br />for different approaches on handling the parking on County Road <br />51. <br />DISCUSSION - The primary objectives in dealing with this problems <br />are: <br />1. Safety <br />2. Parking needs for public access <br />3. Property owner trespass <br />The three alternative packages as noted in Attachment D are <br />summarized as follows: <br />Alternative 1. - Eliminate parking totaling on County Road 51 and <br />find an alternative place for the parking. The parking for Zone <br />1 as outlined in the 1983 Task Force Report were a total of 139. <br />The present number of spots at North Arm are: <br />- Current North Armn Access 64 vehicle trailer (+ 17 <br />singles for cars/vans/pickups) <br />- County 51 parking 28 (not all within 1500 feet of <br />access) <br />Alternative 2. Widening Shoulder - This alternative would widen <br />the shoulder to the approprlate 10 foot width, which is
