COUNCIL MEETING ^ <br />JAN23I9c3 <br />MIHUTES OP THE REGULAR ORONO COUNCIL MEETIN^I^Y OF ORONO <br />HELD JANUARY 9, 1989 <br />ATTENDANCE 7:00 P.M. <br />The Council met on the above date with the following members <br />present: Mayor Grabek, CounciImembers Goetten, Nettlesr Peterson <br />and Callahan. The following represented the City staff; City <br />Administrator Bernhardson, Building & Zoning Administrator <br />Mabusth, Public Works Director Gerhardson, Assistant Planning and <br />Zoning Administrator Gaffron, City Attorney Barrett, City <br />Recorder Scheffler and City Clerk Hallin. <br />OATH OF OFFICE <br />City Clerk Hallin administered the oath of office to Mayor <br />Grabek, CounciImembers Peterson, Callahan and Nettles. <br />SPECIAL ASSESSMENT <br />PUBLIC HEARING 7:05-7:07 <br />The affidavit of publication and certificate of mailing was <br />noted. <br />City Administrator Bernhardson stated the purpose of this <br />assessment hearing was to specially assess property located at <br />200 Hollander Road in the amount of $3,581.50 for hazardous <br />buildings removal on the property, the Court had stipulated the <br />amount to be assessed. He stated that the owners of the <br />property, which is ar\ estate, had indicated their agreement to <br />waive the appeal. <br />Mayor Grabek asked if there were any comments from the <br />public. <br />John Hollander, 200 Hollander Road, stated he had submitted <br />a written objection to the City stating he felt some of the <br />charges were in excess. <br />It was moved by CounciImember Nettles, seconded by <br />Councilmember Goetten, to adopt Resolution #2566 adopting the <br />assessment roll for Hazardous Building Actions - 1988-2. Motion, <br />Ayes 5, Nays 0, Motion passed. <br />CONSENT AGENDA* <br />Councilmember Goetten requested the removal of Consent Items <br />#32 and #36. Councilmember Peterson requested the removal of <br />Consent Items #8, 22, 35 and 36. <br />It was moved by Mayor Grabek, seconded by Councilmember <br />Peterson, to approve the Consent Agenda with the exception of <br />Items #8, #22, #32, #35 and #36, which were removed and discussed <br />in the order they appear on the agenda. Motion, Ayes 5, Nays 0, <br />Motion passed. <br />APPROVAL OF MINUTES* <br />It was moved by Mayor Grabek, seconded by Councilmember <br />Peterson, to approve the Minutes of the December 12, 1988 Regular
