Extension of County 116 - Public Hearing <br />July If 1987 <br />Page 4 of 4 <br />Should the Council be interested in the extension, the City staff <br />would explore with the County the following items: <br />A. Timing of traffic control on County 6 and Willow Drive. <br />B. Installation of a traffic light at Willow and 12, at <br />least temporary lights, with the cost to eventually be borne <br />by the County and the State with:‘i. year. <br />C. That the width issue particularly north of 6 be <br />addressed by utilization of an urban section of road <br />(without ditches) so that the improved portions of the road <br />do no encroach as much into those lots. (This could shorten <br />up the impact of the road from approximately 70 feet to <br />approximately 40 feet.) <br />D. When the County would anticipate take over. <br />RECOMMENDATION - Following the presentation by Hennepin County, <br />together with the public hearing and hearing any concerns any <br />Council members may have staff recommends that the issue be <br />tabled to the August 10th meeting to research issues tne Council <br />may have on this matter. <br />PROPOSED MOTION - Moved by __, seconded by __, that following <br />conclusion of the public hearing and discussion by the Council <br />members on the issue that the matter be tabled until the August <br />10, 1987 meeting.
