PURPOSE: To assure that single family character of the majority of the <br />Lake Minnetonka shoreline is maintained as lands are redeveloped <br />on the lake. Consensus _ _ _ _ _ _ _ <br />ALTERNATIVES: <br />Adopt DNR proposed rules. <br />Adopt less restrictive rules. <br />11. What should the design criteria be for residential PUD? <br />SUGGESTION: <br />The design criteria should be established by local ordinance, except that the <br />following paragraph shall be included in any local ordinance (6120.3800, Subp. <br />5(3)(c) as rewritten): <br />"Shore recreation facilities, including but not limited *■' swimming areas, <br />docks, and watercraft mooring areas and launching ramps mus- centralized and <br />located in areas suitable for them. Evaluation of suitability must include <br />consideration of land slope, water depth, vegetation, soils, depth to <br />groundwater and bedrock, or other relevant factors. The number of spaces <br />provided for continuous beaching, mooring, or docking of watercraft must not <br />exceed the number permitted under applicable LMCD rules and regulations. <br />Launching ramp facilities, including a small dock for loading and unloading <br />equipment, may be provided for use by occupants of dwelling units." <br />Consensus _ _ _ _ _ _ _ <br />ALTERNATIVES: <br />A. Reach consensus on density and other standards. <br />B.
