MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE SCHOOL BOARD <br />OF ORONO INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT NO. 278 <br />HELD ON DECEMBER 12, 1988 <br />The regular meeting of the School Board of Orono Independent School District No. <br />278 was held on Monday, December 12, 1988. <br />Present:Dave McKown <br />Don Anderson <br />Kitty Crosby <br />James Franklin <br />John Maresh <br />Lucie Taylor <br />Thomas Mich <br />William Fenholt <br />UPON MOTION by Kitty Crosby, seconded by Jim Franklin, the consent agenda was <br />approved as follows: <br />14, 1988 regular meeting; <br />14, 1988 Board workshop; <br />- approved the minutes of the November <br />- approved the minutes of the November <br />- approved the following variance request: <br />Kirsten Gilfillan, grade 11, to attend Robbinsdale Schools; <br />- approved Diane Dingmanr.'s request for a maternity disability leave to com­ <br />mence sometime in March at the direction of her physician, with a return <br />to work date of April 24, 1989; <br />- app»-oved the following coaches for winter sports: Brian Bergstrom, <br />assistant basketball coach - boys (F); Steve Boylan, assistant basketball <br />coach - boys (MS) and girls (MS); Debbie Thompson, assistant basketball <br />coach - girls; Liz Young, assistant basketball coach - girls (MS); Bob <br />Komma, assistant gymnastics coach; Dave Shavlik, assistant hockey coach; <br />Kelly Shaughnessy, head wrestling coach; Peter Dubay, assistant wrestling <br />coach; Todd Meyer, assistant wrestling coach (MS); Amy Luesebrink, head <br />ski coach; Joe Dalman, assistant ski coach; <br />- approved the appointment of Debbie Perry as a noon supervisor at Schumann <br />Elementary School effective December 1, 1988; <br />- approved the appointment of Lynda Stahlke as management aide at Orono High <br />School effective December 5, 1988; <br />- accepted the resignation of Judy Schliinz as lunchroom supervisor at <br />Schumann Elementary School effective November 30, 1988; <br />- accepted the resignation of Betty Beach, hi ,.! school counselor, effective <br />at the end of the 1988-89 school year; <br />- approved the following new winter Community Education classes:
