AGENDA ITEM <br />Date: March 10, 2025 <br />Title: Planning Commission Appointments - Resolution 7570 <br />Presenter: Laura Oakden, Community Development Director <br />Section: Consent Agenda <br />Purpose: <br />To make appointments to the Planning Commission <br />Item: 9 <br />2. Background: <br />The Planning Commission is made up of seven regular members who serve staggered 3-year <br />terms. A commissioner can serve up to three 3-year terms. The City Council has conducted <br />interviews of 2 applicants for the commission. Council directed staff to draft a resolution to <br />appoint 2 interviewees as regular commissioners. Commissioner McCutcheon requested not be be <br />re -appointed at his terms as a regular commissioner which ends March 31, 2025 but is requested to <br />stay on as an alternate. Additionally there is a current alternate Ted Schultze, which needs <br />reappointment as an alternate since this is a annual appointment. Two of the resigning <br />commissioners had time left on their terms,and to maintain staggered terms limits the two newly <br />appointed commissioners will be one year terms. <br />3.
