� o� <br /> • o �. ° <br /> C ITY of ORONO <br /> � - : - � <br /> ti <br /> ti <br /> RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL <br /> ���kEsll�g'�G NO. � c� � � <br /> A RESOLUTION PROVIDING THAT <br /> NO PORTION OF THE COSTS OF IMPROVEMENTS TO TOWNLINE ROA.D <br /> WILL BE ASSESSED TO THE TOWNLINE ROAD AREA PROPERTY OWNERS <br /> WHEREAS, the Cities of Oroiio, I�idependence, and Medina are planning to make <br /> improvements to Townline Road in the coming years; and <br /> WHEREAS, the improvements will involve installing a new base and new pavement to a <br /> 9-ton standard, with a rural design and a width similar to the current road width; and <br /> WHEREAS, the cost of the improvements is estimated to be approximately$200,000; <br /> and <br /> • WHEREAS, the Cities have agreed to share the costs as follows: Orono 20.83%, <br /> Independence 31.25%, Medina 47.92%; and <br /> WHEREAS, Orono's share of the costs will be equivalent to the cost of an overlay, <br /> which is paid through general tax revenues; and . <br /> WHEREAS, it is the consensus of the Council that Orono's share of the costs should be <br /> funded through general tax revenues rather than through assessments levied on the properties in <br /> the Townline Road area. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED, that the Orono City Council does hereby <br /> determine that no portion of the costs of improvements to Townline Road will be assessed to the <br /> Townline Road area property owners. <br /> Adopted by the City Council of the City of Orono, Minnesota at a regular meeting held <br /> this 13th day of June, 2005. <br /> ATTEST: <br /> � ��, .e� ,cC - (/�— <br /> • Linda S.
